Landscapes in Fabric
Fresh Catch Bradley Beach at Fourth Avenue This is the beach where I grew up. A lone fisherman (my father?) is on the jetty. The quilt is pieced from commercial fabrics and inspired by a photograph I took at Thanksgiving.
This art quilt captures the spirit of Scottish country dancing in the woods on a summer's day at Pinewoods, a rustic camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Showing Boston's Zakim Bridge and the message, "IN DIVERSITY WE ARE STRONGER," this tiny quilt was created in response to the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013. It hung with 1,100 flags made by quilters worldwide in "To Boston With Love," at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in May 2013 and April 2014.
My wedding canopy featured the Transit of Venus across the Sun, next to a Tree of Life. Follow the link to learn the story behind my wedding.
