Naomi, My New York Beauty

This quilt is made from my daughter’s baby clothes. It depicts the city of her birth and a lunar eclipse I saw the night after.  The Chrysler Building is shown from the vantage point of the Empire State Building looking north. Its radiant Art Deco spire reminds me of the traditional quilt block called New York Beauty.
